On this version of our arts24 music present, Jennifer Ben Brahim talks to at least one half of French duo Papooz, Ulysse Cottin, because the pair launch their fourth studio album “Resonate”. It’s a report filled with euphoric sounds and melancholic lyrics, for which they enlisted the assistance of American songwriter Jesse Harris and celebrity producer Patrick Wimberly. Ulysse and Armand first met after an opportunity assembly in line at a Patti Smith live performance. It is no shock that their music is steeped in traditional sounds, from the Beatles to the Seaside Boys and the Velvet Underground.
We additionally highlight a rising French musical expertise, Marguerite Thiam, who has gone from starring in a Rolling Stones video to releasing her first EP “Comme Les Grands”.
