Our visitor is an acclaimed author with a profession spanning over fifty years. In that point, she has revealed a whole lot of essays and twenty books, together with the memoir “At Dwelling within the World” — wherein she mentioned her relationship with “The Catcher within the Rye” writer J.D. Salinger — and the novels “To Die For” and “Labor Day,” each made into movies. She is in Paris as her eleventh novel, “The Hen Lodge,” centered in a lodge in a small Central American village, is translated into French. Joyce Maynard speaks with Eve Jackson about writing her new novel throughout Covid in her residence in Guatemala, was a printed author by age 13, and baked desserts with Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet for the movie adaptation of “Labor Day.”
