On Thursday, November 2, 2023, at roughly 3:40 PM, Santa Rosa Law enforcement officials responded to the 2500 block of Pomo Path, Santa Rosa, in reference to a potential murder. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a deceased girl within the residence. The grownup feminine sufferer had been decapitated. The sufferer’s head was not within the residence.
Detectives from the SRPD Violent Crimes Investigations crew took over the investigation and started interviewing anybody who might have details about the incident. The preliminary investigation revealed that Luis Gustavo Aroyo-Lopez, a 24-year-old Santa Rosa resident and relative of the sufferer, killed the sufferer earlier than leaving the scene. It’s believed that Aroyo-Lopez took the sufferer’s head with him when he left the house and should still have it in his possession.
Police didn’t specify whether or not the sufferer’s head was on him when he was arrested.
The Santa Rosa Police Division added, “Aroyo-Lopez was not too long ago launched from state jail and positioned beneath Postrelease Neighborhood Supervision (PRCS). He was incarcerated on assault with a lethal weapon and gun possession expenses, which have been unrelated to the sufferer on this incident.”
